Do you work on existing websites?

If it’s built with WordPress, absolutely! Depending on your current set-up, I can work on a website that’s already live. It would ideally need to be using the built-in block editor, rather than a page builder such as Elementor.

My area of expertise within WordPress is block themes, the block editor and the Kadence theme and additional blocks.

If your site uses any other tools, feel free to give me a shout and I’ll take a look and see if I can help. Otherwise, I’ll happily recommend you to someone who can.

How long does it take?

A new website typically takes one month to complete. This may vary depending on the scale of the project and how quickly you can get all of your content, feedback and revisions over to me.

Service-Based WordPress Websites

I specialise in WordPress websites for service-based businesses with a physical location or service area in Derby, Derbyshire and Burton-on-Trent.

The sites I build make use of the tools that already come built into WordPress. This means less reliance on external tools, fewer ongoing expenses and a cleaner, calmer dashboard.

Looking for an e-commerce store? I don’t currently offer online stores, but can happily reccomend you to someone who does, if needed.

As a business in a somewhat unsteady economy, I run as efficiently as possible with minimal overheads.

While marketing budgets are being reduced, I’ve adapted with the current landscape to help maximise your online potential while streamlining your outgoings.

  • For tax year 25/26, my rate is £60 per hour

Clearcut Derby’s web design service is all handled by the business owner, Mike Hindle. Hey, that’s me! I’ve got a small team of freelancers to call upon when needed, but generally speaking, I’m a one-man agency.

This is how I’ve managed to drastically reduce my outgoings and pass the savings directly on to your business.

Will I have access to the website?

Absolutely! If you or your team need access to the website to add and edit content, you got it.

The site and content editor I use within WordPress are the exact same tools used by enterprise-level companies. This means you get a clean, intuitive dashboard with all of the controls that you specifically need.

If needed, once your site is live, I’ll go through adding and editing your content in a free one-hour training session. Furthermore, I’ll be on hand to assist with any questions or queries you may have about the website.

The default theme is the closest we can get to working purely with WordPress. Paired with the built-in block editor, we can design, build, and edit your site without needing a page builder such as Elementor.
